(Internship) Automating purchasing workflows at Emerson
During a three-month internship at Emerson Process Management in Cernay, France, I built tools to reduce manual work in the purchasing department: status updates, quote requests, supplier follow-ups, and data checks across internal systems.
I started with Excel macros and Power Automate, then designed and built a web platform estimated to save more than 800 hours per year.
Built with Angular, Express, and MySQL, the platform synchronized enterprise data and let buyers filter, assign, comment on, and track purchasing tasks. I also implemented authentication, buyer profiles, supplier management, and quote-request automation, and handled Docker deployment and technical documentation.
